I think there are signal flags on the badge  :-\

Would have been so much easier if they had written on the back  ;D

Km suggested earlier - Prince of Wales feathers, but I can't seem to find a badge to look at.

Hi maxD, yes, just,  :) I have to admit I don't think there is a match tho' unless I'm missing something (which  is highly likely, as I must have looked at hundreds of images  ;D ;) )

Sorry MaxD I did read it, but the badge is a different shape (unless my glasses have given up) and it also said that there was a Scottish Pattern, am I missing something,I 'm sorry I have no idea when it comes to military.

 Moo the reference to a Scottish pattern refers to a variation on the British tunic which has 5 buttons (not seven as in the pic) and a plain end of the sleeve (not a gauntlet as in the pic).

I would have thought the uniform pattern at least is conclusive that it is not British?  I'll leave the badge.
