Welcome to rootschat.

Research in Ireland can be difficult. Things to try:

Check the Ellis Island website for their immigration.
See of you can find the family on the 1911 and 1901 Irish censuses.

All are free to use - a google search will find them for you.

Good luck.

Clara O'Madden is quite a different spelling from Clare C Madden

George Lewnes married Olivia Rose Lewnes (born O'Madden).
Olivia was born between April 1902 and June 1902, in Navan, Ireland.
Navan is in County Meath, Ireland

Original 1940 census data on the IGI says her birthplace is Northern Ireland and surname spelt as Leunes

This death record for Claire Browne seems to match the death date and other information you have for Clara Brown - https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:2WYZ-SZ1

The changes like O'Madden to Madden and Clara to Claire are not all that unusual.

So, to summarise:

Thomas O'Madden (married) Bridget Curron (Ireland) (from Claire's death record)
Their children were:
William born c1892 (from1940 census)
Claire born 23 Sep 1894 (from Claire's death record)
Olivia born Apr-Jun 1902 Navan, Co Meath (corrected - possibly Armagh?)
Michael born 23 Sep 1894 (according to family memory - Claire's twin)
Richard, Kat, Maude, Anastasia plus 2 others (according to family memory)

Claire O'Madden married Frederick Brown
Their son Frederick born 13 Feb 1921 New York, died 1 Sep 1921 (from death record)
Their son Frederick born c1924 (from 1940 census)
Claire died 28 Aug 1948 and was a widow (from death record).
Frederick senior is not with Claire on 1940 census - when did he die?

Olivia Rose O'Madden married George Lewnes (together on 1940 census)

So, as Olivia was born in 1902 in Ireland, the family may be found on the 1901 census.  This would help identify siblings.

Claire was in New York in 1921 (Frederick's birth)  So sometime between 1901 and 1921 at least some of the O'Madden family emigrated to the USA.  Can they be found on the Irish census 1911 or a USA census (New York?) to see which country they were in?

Please help me to help you by citing sources for information.

This search should be fairly simple for finding records of the family in Ireland, coming to U.S., etc. but the various records posted here show conflicting details.

If Olivia O'Madden was born in Navan, Co. Meath then the 1940 census saying 'Northern Ireland' (notice enumeratop started to write 'NewYork') is incorrect as Co. Meath is not in N.I. However, there is a Navan, Co. Armagh which is in Northern Ireland.

I can find no trace of the family so far in 1901 (or 1911) Irish census using 1st names, ages, etc.
http://www.census.nationalarchives.ie/search/
I've also failed to spot the children in the civil registration index.

There is an online tree for this family (with obvious errors) which list Olivia as Olivia Rose Eleanor born 1902 Tipperary. The closest I can find is this Olivia R.E. Madden in Tipperary but she was born c1890 in Limerick, parents are Michael & Mary Anne...

Same family in 1911-
