PTE Edward Lawlor died 101 years ago this ANZAC Day
« on: Friday 22 April 16 12:23 BST (UK) »
I am researching this young soldier who died on April 25, 1915. He died coming ashore at Gallipoli and is buried at V Beach, Helles. He was a Dublin chap who left behind his parents and siblings.  As yet, I have not confirmed his relationship to my family but believe his brother was married to a great, great aunt.   I ordered / paid for this photo from The War Graves Photographic Project (TWGPP) and this is what they sent from his V Beach grave.  I have tried to adjust brightness / contrast / etc to try and get the text to be more visible but have had no luck improving things.  If anyone can have a go with their program I'd appreciate it.  I am unable to get a new photo / different scan etc for obvious reasons.
Thanks in advance

Researching: Cronin / Nolan - Gortadrislig, Kerry
Finn/Clifford - Callinafercy and Scort, Kerry
Spillane - Milltown
Also:- Byrne / Tyrrell - Dublin

Thanks for the links, Carol. Alas, it's not my man. There were a few Edward Lawlors around, mine was a Dublin Fusilier.
