Given the variations in the spelling of the family name ...LINN...LIND... etc, it would be useful to have the names and ages of the seven children, the better to locate mother Catherine.

I had located Clara (born St Helena), wife of Emanuel FERDINAND, d. 1888 TAS......witness to marriage of Catherine, 1884.

How did Catherine support her large family between death of husband, and 1884 when she married Charles QUINN.

Three of the children here, Agnes, Clara, and James:

They apparently arrived on the Bengal and daughter Lucinda married Robert JAMES in 1854:

There are only six children here but eight passengers.  Was there a baby perhaps?
  Clara is the missing one.

Lucinda lind/linn/lynn was old enough to work when they arrived all the rest as placed in the Queens orphan school their names were Margaret, David, James, Agnes and Clara and the other one was a boy I think. Lucinda married a Robert James. Margaret married Jesse Roberts.
Agnes married solom Williams and Clara married  Thomas Jones and Emmanuel Ferdinand. James became a sailor and the others I haven't been able to located.... As for Catherine supporting them after they arrived I don't think she did as Clara was in her sisters care for a while  all girls married very young and one of them Margaret was known as black Maggie and apparently worked on the town

Thank you. I've seen all this information though I'm more interested in what happened to Catherine
