If you are going by the death certificate dates then this photo would have to be taken in 1880s.  The clothes dont tie in wth those dates.  I think it is from 1900 to 1910 wth the man very fashionable style wth his beard cut and hat.  I thought about the look of Andrew Carnegie when I saw the photo.
Ferguson (st fillans, comrie)
Garnock (lothian, fife)
Valet (london, switzerland)
Butcher (ramsgate, glasgow)
Blackbird (durham,  newcastle)
Barr (ayrshire, ireland)
Fleming (paisley)
Crone, croney ,(dumfriesshire, ireland)

Hi IndianLisa and welcome to RootsChat, how lovely that photos of your ancestors were found here.
James has been active on here a couple of weeks ago and I'm sure he will be delighted that you have a connection to the people in the photos, but the date is out for the first one, so maybe another family member.  :D

Welcome to Rootchat from me too  :)

I agree with the others. The first photo is 1900s. As Carol says, they must be other relatives.

Nice one, John! Looks great. :)

I think that's my grandmother, her sister, their mother, and one of their cousins (Andrew).
