James Doyle 1820
« on: Wednesday 20 July 05 11:49 BST (UK) »
I found details of a family on the LDS site:

Michael Doyle married Mary Dowling 1810 Ballon, Carlow
had children Mary (1816); Hugh (1832); Thomas (1814); Elizabeth (1825); Jane (1830); Patrick (1823); John (1821); JAMES (1820); William (1825) and Michael (1816).

I know it's an extreme long shot, but if any one out there has any interest in this family then I'd love to know anything about James (1820) so I can eliminate him from my list of James Doyles born in Ireland - I'm looking for one that had a son Peter born circa 1849 (later married in Lancashire in 1873)

Fingers crossed
Julie

Seasons Greetings to you Julie,

Doyle was a popular name in Co. Carlow. There were many heads of household with that surname in the county during the period of Griffiths Valuation of Ireland 1848 - 1864

Besr Wishes, Christopher

His father was Thomas born (1865) and his mother was bridget . As far as I know his grandfather was Patrick doyle brother to an Edward doyle(td) All from ballon area..
