Violet Mary Gardiner born on 2nd October 1909 in Soham Newmarket

Can anyone help in the Cambridge Area to search for the above she had a child in the workhouse in 1930.  I can not find any trace of this person after that she had a sister Mildred Kate Gardiner who was born in 1913 I can find no trace of these sisters. There parents were Ceila Kate Robinson who married Frederick William Robert Gardiner.

there is a marriage of a Mildred K Gardiner in 1936 in Newcastle to a David Davison but thats a long way from Cambridge

wrong year of birth for that Mildred according to a free search of the 1939 register and the 1972 death index (28OC1910)

Usually when people disappear from the marriage or death indexes, you find that they have moved abroad or changed their names.

Is the daughter born 1930 still alive as we have a 'no living people' policy here?

Mildred isn't on the 1911 census her birth is registered in 1913 as the OP states. Have you tried tracing descendants of other siblings to see if they know what happened to Violet and Mildred?

So the mother of these two girls died quite young, perhaps one or both went to live with relatives? I would try and figure out where Celia and Fredericks' siblings were around the end of the war.

According to a tree on Ancestry, the daughter born in 1930 was adopted in 1933.

The tree does not have Mildred on it, but has siblings Ivy Celia, 1906, and Archie, 1908.
