Isaac Wildish
« on: Tuesday 03 May 16 02:56 BST (UK) »
Hi all,
I have traced my family tree back to Isaac Wildish (or Wildash) born approx 1781.
But I have found he was married to Catherine Page in 1803 and then Jane Rutherford in 1807.
I can't find any divorce records (Catherine died after him) and when looking at records I can only find one wife or the other.
His children were Stephen, Thomas, George and John.
Any help would be appreciated! T.I.A

Yes that looks more like it. So the Isaac married to Jane must be a different Isaac?

I have managed to trace his wife Catherine back another four generations, but am unable to find anything regarding Isaacs birth or background

It's not a common name so they might be related.

There is another Isaac with wife Jane in 1841 Selling, Faversham also there Edward Wildash.  Probably that Isaac.

This death would tie in with that Isaac

It looks as though these are the parents of the Isaac who married Jane Rutherford.

My family tree at home says that Isaac died in 1842 in Kent

Hellowaitnvrmind29,
I have just become a member of Rootschat and found your post about isaac Wildish.
It would seem hat we are related because my family tree includes an Isaac Wildish born 1782.
My father was the youngest of 10 born to Charles and Harriet Wildish. Charles was the sixth born to George Thomson and Mary Anne Wildish. George Thomson was the son of Isaac (b.1787) and Jane (b. 1784) (Rutherford) Wildish.
I was very interested to see that you have found an earlier marriage for Isaac - I have never found any evidence of that.
I can go back a little further than Isaac but there are so many 'Isaacs' that I am having difficulty in deciding which one is which.
I would be delighted to hear further from you to establish just how we might be related.
