Looks like they moved around a lot. Charles, My great great grandfather was born in Dean Nothumberland,  moved with his parents to Kilbirnie, Scotland,  then to Whitehaven, back to kilbirnie, and ended up living in Newburn upon Tyne where he died.

Any info?

thanks

Joseph

its the 1907 one, married to Martha Warnock.

Im trying to establish more about the family, I know there were many siblings but Ive been unable to work out how or why he was in Newburn. They seem to have moved around quite considerably.

if you have census info that would be great

1901 David Graham Briscoe is married living at 29 West Strand Whitehaven.  All children and his wife born Whitehaven.  David was born 16 April 1867 Kilbirnie, Ayr, Scotland - parents Joseph Briscoe and Helen Graham.

David G Brisco   34 Born Scotland. Railway Engine Stoker.
Sarah A Brisco   32
Mary A Brown   10 Step-daughter
Bessie Brown   8 Step-daughter

Can't transcribe the 191 for copyright reasons but think I can say he was still living in Whitehaven - you would find him on the free 1911 Index.

Do you think they may have been Jewish? Im curious because from photos and names it looks like it but the records I have suggest they were all christian.
