Alexander GLASS and Mary STEWART

Im really interested to know about the genealogy of Alexander Glass, I know he was married to Mary Stewart and had a daughter Rosina. He (or his parents) came from Bushmills Ireland and lived in Kilbirnie Ayrshire Scotland. Rosina was born in Bushmills in 1878

Any ideas or help greatly appreciated.

I see they had two other children William John 20 April 1876 and Alexander 16 June 1880

More children by the time of 1901 census when the family is in Kilbirnie, but all born in Ireland as were both Alexander & Mary.

If Alexander died in Scotland, then his parents' names would be shown on the death entry (if known to the informant of course).  The entry would be viewable on ScotlandsPeople for a small fee.

Quite a few members of this family went overseas ....As Nell said you can try www.scotlandspeople.gov for a death for Alexander and Mary that will give you their parents names  to take you further back

From SP , Mary Glass(other surname Stewart) death 1918 , Kilbirnie Ayr , born c1857 , looks likely.

That will show you if Alexander was still alive at that time and help narrow down a search for his death(if he died in Scotland).
