Thanks Sandra

Have just reactivated my newspaperarchive account as Andrew Skene's Obit wasn't on newspapers.com, also found an announcement for his 96th birthday.

In case you don't have it....

Andrew's complete military file has now been digitized and can be accessed for free at this link. Click on PDF part way down. It will be very very slow to download.

Fiona, I received an email that indicated you are reaching out to me.  I posted quite some time ago.  I just scanned several documents and photos for the Skene family:  Great grandfather Alexander Skene, Annie Marr was one of his sisters.  Alexander married Janie (Jennie) Robinson in Manitoba and moved to Kinistino.  I have marriage records, birth records from Aberdeen Scotland and photos, all digital.  I'd be glad to share them with you but need an e-mail address for you.  I have sent you a private message with my email.

Hi FDH,

I do know and Andrew Skeene, who I believe lived in Winnipeg Manitoba. He lives elsewhere now. If you send me some info about your Andrew, i can ask him if he is connected and knows any thing about your man.
