I forgot to say that I will not be able to get in touch with libraries about obits for 2 reasons, 1- no idea which libraries there are and 2- I stay in Scotland, so not such an easy thing to do but I will keep looking for info.

Think I was referring to obits for Andrew (1984) and Emma (1974) so that you could unravel all 3 children - I only managed 1 - Perhaps try an e-mail to RAOGK volunteer Winnipeg Manitoba

Mary Dorothy Skene's had 2 sisters. Have a birth for one in 1927 but have no other information. Have tried searching through newspapers.com for births/marriages/deaths but can't find anything. Not even obits for Andrew or Emma.

So an email to the RAOGK volunteer may help - you have no married names - and you don't know that 2 of them are deceased - so perhaps better not to name (RootsChat has a no living person policy) The RAOGK volunteer may be able to find death notices or obits for Andrew and Emma Dorothy which will tell you the married names of the women. (presuming they married)

Daily times obit index lists Mary Dorothy McLeod- so an enquiry at the libraries in Winnipeg and Victoria BC might help locate this obit.

Thank you Manawakian for this link, I have found a few Skene's in this book that match other Skene's that were in Goodlands in my Family Tree, now I have to see if any of them match letter's and pictures that were addressed from Goodlands, that my Grandmother had!
