Hello Meg,

Somehow, I was not notified of your reply and just now saw it.
My apologies, and I hope you are able to monitor this.

I can help you with a lot of your family genealogy on the Downing branch and probably fill in some gaps close to your uncle.
Please respond and we can discuss further.

Thank you for finding this post,
Rick

Hello,
I am working on Robert Downing Taylor III and his family line.  I am helping my husband on his family tree.  Robert Downington Taylor III died Septemer 4, 2018 in Johnson City, Washington County, Tennessee.

William Henry Taylor, brother of Robert Downing Taylor, Jr. was a step father to my husband, Greg Sanborn.  William Henry Taylor "Bill" married 1st to Frances Ann Merrell and then 2nd to Eleanor D. Hagy Sanborn.  My husband would like to know more of his step-family.  Please contact me and we can share.
Thanks!
Allie Taylor

Hi Allie,

So nice to hear from you.  I know we need to get into details because there is no doubt about my connection to your husband.  As you may have noticed, Rootschat has a policy about discussing living relatives on this forum, so it's probably best to make contact through another platform.
Do you have a Facebook page ?  Or your husband ?
If so, I'm extending an invitation to join our family page.  It's a closed group started by Tim Mansfield, a former Irishman living in Australia, but I am authorized to approve invitees.  Just get on Facebook and search for "Downing Family of Bellaghy & Maghera, Co. Derry"
I have taken the liberty of "adding" your name to the group, which might make it easier for you to join.  If your husband wishes to join, just let me know.
There is a ton of interesting info on our Irish ancestors on that page.

As for contact, you can best reach me at (*)

Once we make contact, I will redirect you to my private email.
Looking forward to talking.  I have a LOT of data I can share.

Happy New Year,
Rick
