AT Osbourne Photographer

Hi can anyone please tell me when AT Osbourne's Portrait Studio was in operation at 312 High St, Lincoln?

I know he was at 1 Norman Place from 1876-1882 and by 1891 he had returned to Hull.

I have photos with both these addresses on the back.

Alfred T Osbourne was at 1 Norman Place in the 1885 Kellys Lincs directory.

The building became the premises of Caleb Smith (another photographer), then part of the Oxford hotel - which became part of the Grand hotel - before finally being demolished in early 2013.

Thanks for the replies.

I have particularly been trying to find the dates that AT Osbourne was at 312 High St so that I can date some photos - are there any directories for the 1870's that some kind person could check for me?

I have a Find My Past subscription but can't find anything there, and have had no luck with Google. Just seems odd that particular address doesn't appear yet Norman Place is prolific.

312 High St shows as Page D WOODCOCK, chemist in 1857 and 1885 directories, so it's likely that OSBOURNE rented some space on those premises, perhaps while living in Ripon St (which are ordinary terraced houses).

The building was demolished in early 1970s and 312 now exists as part of Boots the Chemist.

I also have a photo of a gentleman taken by A T Osbourne (100-102 Hessle Rd, Hull) - but unfortunately don't know who he is. Do ledgers for Osbourne exist I wonder?

Hi, in regards to your photo, do you have connections to the Skepper, Brown, Gresham, or Fox families?

These are the ancestors I have in Hull, the Skeppers originally from Lincoln.
