Welcome Tracy

Have you found Thomas in any of the Scottish censuses, and if so what do they tell you about his age and birthplace?

I am a little confused as to the ages you've given.  If he was 34 on marriage in 1890 he can't have been 45 at death in 1907?  Have you found his death registration on ScotlandsPeople to check?

It sounds like you are trying to go forwards instead of backwards which can be twice as difficult.

Andrew Watt married (1851 Rocavan, Antrim, Ireland) Jenny Liddles (don't be concerned about variations in names, spelling or dates)
marriage: https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:FGC7-999
Registration of births started in 1864- for earlier children you'll need to see if church records survive
son (born 1865 Glenwhirry registration district) https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:F5PY-X9H

Andrew Watt & wife Jane in 1901-
www.census.nationalarchives.ie/pages/1901/Antrim/Slemish/Buckna/939540

A younger Andrew Watt in same townland might be a son but that would need verified-
www.census.nationalarchives.ie/pages/1901/Antrim/Slemish/Buckna/939548
Same family in 1911 with grand-daughter called Liddle-
www.census.nationalarchives.ie/pages/1911/Antrim/Corkey/Carnbuck/128112

Probate of the Will of Andrew Watt late of Buckna Broughshane County Antrim Farmer who died 13 August 1908 granted at Belfast to David Jamison and Robert Stenson Farmers. Effects £94 10s. 0d. Will mentions son James Watt, wife Jinney

A James Watt, son of Andrew, married 1896 Larne district to Margaret. This might be son James mentioned in Andrew Watt's Will with wife Maggie and children-
www.census.nationalarchives.ie/pages/1911/Antrim/Ballymena_Town/William_Street/117011
and in 1901-
www.census.nationalarchives.ie/pages/1901/Antrim/Ballymena_and_Town_and_Urban_District_of_Ballymena/William_Street/926675

Possibly James' wife Margaret-
Watt Margaret of Princes Street Ballymena county Antrim widow died 10 January 1931 Administration Belfast 1 February to Agnes McKillen married woman. Effects £5.

Possibly daughter Agnes' husband-

I have a mystery in in my husbands family line. My husbands grandfather was Robert Smyth born in 1855 (Smythe/Smith) not sure how it was spelt in the past. We had thought he was married to a Catherine Donaldson, but know now it was a Catherine Watt. They lived in Cromkill /Kells - for some years in the old school house. They had at least about 12+ children including my husbands father Hugh and brother Robert DCM, but we cannot find any record of Catherine Watt. Are you able to help please?  Thankyou Val Smyth
