Millard, Thame, Oxfordshire.
« on: Tuesday 17 May 16 16:29 BST (UK) »
Hi

I am reaserching a WWII Airman who's remains lie in the burial ground at Burton on the Wolds, Leicestershire. He is Sergeant Norman Kenneth Millard 1380773, W. Op / A Gnr R.A.F, who I belive is remembered on a memorial plaque at St Mary's church, Thame, Oxfordshire.

I was wondering if it might be possible to obtain a photograph of this memorial for my records. I am particularly interested in finding out if Sgt Millard had any siblings and where his parents are layed to rest. Some items of Sgt Millard's personal effects have come into my possession and it would be fitting to return them to the family if possible.

Any information at all would be appreciated.

Best wishes,
Richard Blood.

He was not born in Oxfordshire according to his birth reg.  His parents married in Edmonton in 1918

Births September qtr 1920
Norman K Millard mothers maiden name  Jones  Marylebone  1a 931

You can use freebmd to search for Millard births with mmn Jones using freebmd.  Publication of the info would not be allowed on Rootschat as some of his siblings may still be alive.  Looks as though he was the first born
