Hullo Findar,
Thanks for the information you sent. I indulge in Family History research as well as House Histories mainly to keep me from Dementia/ memory loss.
Kieran Kelly lived in an area close to the old Victorian gold fields so he may well have tried his luck mining. If you are interested please let me know and I'll send you what I have.

Keeran Kelly is the brother if my Great Great Grandmother Mary Kelly.
She was born in 1847 in the townsland of Carrokeel, in the Parish of Clonfanlough. She married Michael Kelly in 1867 and lived in the townsland of Lakeview, Clonfanlough.
Her parents were Peter Kelly, born: 1802, Carrokeel, Clonfinlough, married: 1867, died: 9th April 1887 and Margaret Devery Born: 1807, died: 17th March 1890 in Carrokeel.
There is reference to other children of Peter & Margaret in the Clonfanlough parish records:
Peter Kelly was baptised on 27 may 1838 (Sponsors: Jacob & Bridget Kelly)
Patrick Kelly, born: 1848, married 1869 to Ellen Egan, Carrokeel his best man was Kieran Kelly
Michael Kelly, baptised: July 25th 1855, married 1876 to Mary Egan. He lived in Carrokeel and had 10 Children, 9 Alive in 1911 census. He was present at his father Peters death in 1887.
I haven't found Keeran/Kieran's baptismal records, he may have been christened Peter and called Kieran, which wasn't unusual for the time. My parents still live near Clonfanlough in Co Offaly and I am hoping to get down to look at the old graves and see can I find any other information.
Was wondering did Kieran end up in Gold mining in Australia? There is a family story of one of that family going to Australia to the Gold Rush.
Hope this helps,
Fiona
