Kirstead burial - cemetery records 1812-1900 - REEDER
« on: Sunday 22 May 16 09:57 BST (UK) »
Good evening - I am researching the family of  William REEDER and his wife Hannah nee CULLING. They married in 1805 in Yelverton and had 11 or more children Chr in Kirstead between 1805 and 1834. I have not found the parish registers for burials after 1812, nor any other records that would show people who died or who are buried in Kirstead. Christenings for this date range are in Free Reg.

A William REEDER left an estate around 1868, as an 8 acre farm in Kirstead was auctioned on behalf of his executors (Norfolk News 6 June 1868). However, I believe my William REEDER died in 1855

Could someone please tell me (1) what happened to the Kirstead burial register and (2) if anyone has private access to these records, please tell me if any REEDER people are buried there.

Thanks - Shirley Elrick

Hello Shirley,

You may already have seen the Will of the William Reeder who died in 1855.

If not, it's here on the Norfolk Sources site.

Can't link to the exact pages, but if you highlight Probate and type in "William Reeder" there are about six pages referring to the William who died 1855.

Looks like the NRO have copied the same page a few times, as the images are not easy to read.

I have obtained and deciphered the Will (thanks). William and Hannah had 10 children, 6 still alive in 1855 when William died.  Everybody accounted for.
