A Mystery called Georgiana/ Georgianna or similar

Do you have a Georgiana / Georgianna or variant in your tree that you cannot identify?

Georgiana born about 1862 in Yorkshire at Coneysthorpe and baptized at Barton Le Street Yorks on 26 September 1862. She married Harry Seekings on 27 Dec 1881 at St Marylebone, in London and had four children, the last, Victor, dying in 1890 in Leicestershire. She is found in Countesthorpe, Leicestershire with Harry Seekings in 1891 then disappears.

By 1894 Harry Seekings is with Jessica (Munns) they have a child called Alec in born in in June 1894. Several more children follow but they do not marry until Dec Q 1899 in the Kings Norton District in Warwickshire.

What happened to Georgiana/Georgianna?  No death found for Georgiana/Georgianna/ Georgianne Seekings between 1891 and 1894.

In 1901 Harry and Jessica are in Kenilworth Warwickshire with their children Alec, Haidee, Laurie, Frank, Reginald and Robert and also the children of Harry and Georgianna, namely, Lillian, Bertram and Clarence.

Did Georgianna go and live with someone else? Did she leave England? Did she die under another name?  Her parents were Robert Prest and Betsey Bowes who married in Thirsk RD in 1856. They had four children but only Georgianna survived to have children of her own.

I have searched the 1911 census for Georgianna/Georgianne/Georgina etc. with no success. Does anybody recognize her?

The fact that Harry did not re- marry until 1899 could mean that it was only then that he was freed by death or divorce to marry again.

When Harry remarries does it say he is widowed

In the 1901 census for Ashby de la Zouch there is a 40 year old Georgeanna Ball living with husband William and a number of children, place of birth given as Hull, Yorkshire. In 1891 the same family is in Burton upon Trent but William's wife is given as Annie age 31 born Rengslyn, Norfolk. May be the same person in both census, but I wonder! *

I had not considered that Georgianna might be shortened to Annie/Anna etc. so that might be an avenue to explore.

From what I have seen in a few online trees, William Ball had children by three women. Jane was his first wife from about 1872/3. Three children are shown in 1881. Keziah seems to have been a child of the second wife Ann and then Georgianna/Annie.

In 1891 Georgianna is with Harry Seekings in Countesthorpe. The census date was the night of April 5/6. William Ball, the supposed first child of Georgianna and William Ball was registered in the Oct Nov Dec Q of 1891 so the timeline seems a bit tight especially as William Ball and Georgianna Seekings were not living in the same part of Leicestershire.

Also Georgianna Seekings nee Prest was born in Coneysthorpe North Yorkshire and not Hull. Georgianna Ball seems to have returned to her place of birth after the death of William and there is a birth registered in June Q of 1862 for a Georgianna Steward at Sculcoates that seems most likely to be her. I'll do some more checking on the Hull/Sculcoats Georgianna in case I have missed something.

There is a marriage in 1890 in the reg district of Burton upon Trent Staffs. For
  William Ball to a Georgeanna Baker.
  A Georgiana Baker aged2 born Hull can be found in the 1861/71 census living in Norfolk.

Thank you for solving the mystery. I had looked on the passenger lists but not found anything. I'll take another look and see if they travelled together. Georgianna has been bugging me for years. So happy she is found at last. Now I must try and find out about her musical career.
