What I know is confusing however here we go.
Kathleen Ryan died on 7 June, 1947 at Toowoomba Qld. Married on 15 November, 1915 at Yuelba Qld. Reference C3741. Born 1879 Walgett, NSW. Parents Daniel Ryan and mother Elizabeth Moore. Husband either John Roland Byrnes or John Rowland Byrnes. Had the following children. Kathleen Byrnes, John Roland McGinty Byrnes. Alice Byrnes, Daisey Byrnes, Hazel Byrnes and Florence Byrnes.
More confusing. There is a Patrick John Byrnes born 21/12/1883 his father, John Roland Byrnes and mother Sarah Jane or Sarah June O'Brien. Australian Birth Index 1788-1922-Registration No 000041 Page 2085. John Byrnes also known as Patrick John Byrnes.
On 1/1/1912 married Elizabeth Margaret Radford in Roma Qld. Died 21/8/1966 at Yuleba Qld.
According to archives and a family tree for Patrick John Byrnes the following are alleged to be associated:
John Roland Byrnes and Sarah Jane O'Brien married on 26/3/1872 and the following children are associated.
Kathleen Byrnes, Alice Byrnes, John Roland McGinty Byrnes, Daisey Byrnes, Hazel Byrnes are half siblings.
William Byrnes, Mabel Marcella Byrnes, Annie Isarella Byrnes, Mary May Byrnes, Marquerite Irene Elsie Byrnes, Leslie Thomas Byrnes and Harold Australia Byrnes are all siblings. There is also a Nora Agnes Byrnes who died on 28/4/1914.
Daisy Byrnes, my mother was born on 11/8/1917. Reference C10302.
My mother never discussed her antecedents and according to her was born in Junee NSW which is not correct. She nominated that her father was Byrnes however did not nominate Kate Ryan as being her mother. She never mentioned any family. This was also the approach my father adopted.
