Hi

Welcome to Rootschat.

Have you tried searching the old newspapers on the Trove website?  A quick look shows that both John and Maria BENNETT have obituaries and death notices. Perhaps you might find something there that will be of use.

Cheers

Cando shows the obit for John Bell Bennett

The Advertiser  13 Apr 1926
OBITUARY.
Mr. John Bell Bennett, whose death, at the age of 94, occurred while on a visit to the city during Easter, was one of the pioneer settlers in the South-East.
He took up a farm there when the lands around Millicent were first drained. He came out from Ireland as a lad, and after living successively in Adelaide, Kapunda and Kadina he went to the South-East where he became a successful farmer and grazier, purchasing in later years land on the Moy Hall estate. A few years ago he paid a short visit to the old country.  He was, until a year or so ago, in possession of all his faculties, and was, for his age, wonderfully active and observant. He left a family of five sons and two daughters, the eldest being Mrs. Kain of Victoria. Other members of the family are  Mrs. C. T. Barker, of Narracoorte and Messrs. William (Narracoorte). James ( Adelaide), Edward (Melbourne.), and Patrick Bennett (Narracoorte). There are also 40 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and 15 great-great-grandchildren

Trish on the linked previous thread you will find information about John Bell BENNETT.  He married Maria BROWN in 1855 at Kapunda.  No ages or father's names are recorded in that era in South Australia.

In 1926 in his 95th year, he stated he had been in Australia for over 80 years.
