Bloom Hill Public School via O'Connell NSW
« on: Saturday 11 June 16 07:47 BST (UK) »
I am trying to find the location of Bloom Hill Public School which opened in 1869 and closed in December 1938. My father taught there in 1938 when it was a 'half-time' school with Glenburn Public School. I am sure that the school building has long gone but my problem is trying to find where is originally stood.

I am attending O'Connell PS this week to hand over the original Bloom Hill school WW1 honour board to the community.
Remnants of the school building still stand at the end of Bloom Hill Road. I have many recent photos if people want copies emailed. Cheers Tony Purdon.

Hello,
I live close to the site of the Bloom Hill Public School, in the O'Connell district, near Bathurst, NSW.
I have some of the history of the school in my possession and today the original WW1 honour board was presented to the O'Connell School for posterity.
