Obit for Roy Snape in the Toronto Star on Feb 22 1971, page 30.

William Roy Dudley Snape, father of B Snape, brother of Grace Zoegler.  Funeral was held in Balmertown on Feb 22 1971.  Doesn't say when he died, but given the name Dudley, he must be related to your Snape family somehow.

Coincidentally, the same page has the birth of L Sweetman's daughter N.

If I am reading this all correctly (not entirely sure though :) :)), Dudley Sr has a father named Bertram (from his obit) AND a brother named Bertram/Bertrand (posted by Sandra earlier).. perhaps there is a Grace, daughter of each Bertrand?  So, a sister for Dudley Sr and a niece of Dudley Sr??

The father of Dudley Gerald Snape 1888 who married Agnes Gillies - was William Heathcote Barrington Snape and mother Adela Gant.

IOs this a possibility - William born 1910 England could belong to this family - father John Snape Mother Drucilla   ??? (probably Priscilla Coggin) - doesnt seem to fit - Wonder when Grace Snape/Zoegler was born  ???

1921 Hornepayne Algoma West Ontario.

John Snape   35 Drucilla Snape   35
William Snape   11 Annie Snape   9 Jane Snape   1

I am rather confused at the moment.

I have been re checking some of the path - here is what I have:-

George Robert Redfearn born 1878 Tower Hamlets, London, England - died 1932 Outremont, Canada
Grace Marguerita Snape born 1893 West Ham, Essex, England - died 1986 Sutton, Surrey, England

They had two children

George Barrington Redfearn born 1918 Ontario, Canada - died 2008 Canada
Georgina Catherine Redfearn born 1920 Romford, Essex, England

The "Barrington" middle name fits.
Did this Grace emigrate, but came back home?

There seems to be a problem, I will have to re examine my information.

I have:-  Grace Marguerita Snape  Born 1893 West Ham, Essex, England
                                                 Married George Robert Redfearn
                                                 Died 1986 Sutton, Surrey, England

I will let you know the outcome

Perhaps we have 2 different Graces here??  Found an obituary for Bertrand Heathcote Snape in the Globe and Mail, May 11 1943, page 22. He died May 9 1943 at his residence 139 Danforth Ave.  Husband of Margaret Heniter and father of Mrs E L Zoegler (Grace) and of Roy W Snape.

Hope this helps figure out where people fit!!

RK

Sorry I missed this one RK - this is Bertram Heathcote Snape the brother of Dudley Gerald - so Grace Zoegler was his daughter not his sister.

This would be the obit for George Barrington Snape
