1861 Census by address
« on: Thursday 16 June 16 09:24 BST (UK) »
HI I am trying to find out who lived at 166 Wood Street, Kidderminster in 1871 but am drawing a blank as I am unable to search by address.

I know the house did not exist in 1861 so can not search by the name of the people who lived there then. I am stumped! any help gratefully received. Many thanks Claire

Welcome to RootsChat  :)

The census on FindMyPast is searchable by address but in 1871 I can't see an address in Wood St higher than 75

Kay

Thanks for that. Maybe the house was not built in 1871. Thanks again :)

This link mentions 106 Wood street and also adjoining properties

looks like they were built in the mid 1870s and there was gradual expansion of Wood Street southwards

Hi thanks for that. I saw these reports a while ago so was trying to pin down exactly when the house was built. It was sometime between 1871 and 1881 so that is as good as it gets I guess :)
