Arrival/Departure in Halifax
« on: Friday 17 June 16 15:55 BST (UK) »
How & where can I find when Curtis Leyden his wife & daughter arrived in Halifax on the SS Drottingholm sometime in July 1946? They subsequently left for Newfoundland - I assume St John's- a few days later. I would like any information on their departure as well

The passenger list shows that they departed Liverpool on 12th July 1946.

The list also says that the vessel was bound for St Johns Newfoundland and New York, and that they were "contracted" to St Johns so perhaps they arrived direct. The vessel later sailed from NY on 27 July 1946 http://salship.se/drott.php.
Unfortunately the Canadian Archives do not hold immigrant info after 1935 but it can be applied for http://www.bac-lac.gc.ca/eng/discover/immigration/immigration-records/Pages/introduction.aspx#a

Hi,
If you haven't found what you're looking for, the Canadian Museum of Immigration at Pier 21 has a research centre. They also have a database.

https://www.pier21.ca/research/immigration-records/ship-arrival-search

I hope this helps!
