There are some marriages for some of these if you want them. I can post later.

Arthur in 1871 is 45 yrs and in 1881 is 55 yrs. Catherine is 5 yrs older. As we know, ages are not often correct and the older children's births would make the parents very young at the time. :-\

I am not sure about all these marriages but will post them for reference

St Patrick, Liverpool

18 Dec 1864
James Fagan and Jane Mccann   Parents Arthur and Cath
4Jan 1864
John Fagan and Alice Mcmahan    Parents Arthur and Catherine
25 Jan 1864
Patrick Fagan and Mary McHugh parents Arthur and Catherine

These all have Croston Street as their address.

17 Aug 1875
Henry Fagan and Mary Ann Kenny Father Arthur. Henry at 13 Dwerryhouse Street

1 Feb 1876
Hugh Fagan and Elizabeth Fagan Father Athur  Hugh is at Croston Street
Sara Anna Fagan

Sarah Ann Fagan and John Moore Father Arthur Fagan

St Patrick's

29 Jan 1889
Patrick Fagan and Mary Ann McCann  Father Arthur Fagan

5 Mar 1889
Terence Fagan and Rosanna Cain - you have these details

As you can see there are two marriages for Patrick or two Patricks and therefore perhaps two families ??? There is no indication that the second is a widower.
All these marriages are Fagan and not Fegan- you would best check the censuses too.

Thank you, Heywood,

I will need some time (which I do not have today) to process all this useful information.

I agree! You could check out censuses to see if anything comes up.
I did see and I can't now remember which of the older ones it was but 'Down' was a birthplace at one time.
However, as Fegan/Fagan seems likely to be a name from that area, it may mean nothing.
I don't think that marriages are available in those parishes tor the right time for a Fegan/mcClory marriage.
Griffiths Valuation http://www.failteromhat.com/griffiths/down/kilcoo.htm shows an Arthur Fagan in Letalia townland which is the residence show on the Kilcoo baptisms.

Hi Heywood,

Could I ask you one more favour which would help me in unraveling the Fagan-story?

I would very much like to know the baptism dates and churches of Terence Fegan, born in the first quarter of 1854, and of Henry Fegan, born in the second quarter of 1852, to the parents Arthur Fegan and Catherine McClory.

Thank you very much!

Nicolaas
