I am researching Jane Todd who Married Vipond Teasdale. I am trying to find out when her daughter Ethel was born, they lived in South Africa. It looks like Jane Todd went back to UK and passed away May 1938 in Newcastle upon Tyre, Northumberland. UK

I have found out that Jane Todd left a son, Anthony Todd in the UK when she went to South Africa with her daughters Blanche and Minnie. Vipond Teasdale passed away just after the Boer War and then Jane married Thomas Duggan, Jane Todd had two more husbands after Thomas Duggan, but I don`t know their names or surnames.

Thank you, yes I have posted before on Jane Todd, but since then I have discovered she had a son that was left in UK, I am in contact with his grandson. My niece gave me info that said she died in 1938 in Newcastle UK, I am not sure about that. I am still trying to find out who her last two husband were. At Naairs I have found out that a Jane Todd was married to a William Barker who passed away 1924 and then a Jane Todd who was married to a  unknown  Brown and she passed away  year 1932.

It might help to construct a timeline with the FACTS about Jane Todd and her marriages and children rather than relying too heavily on family stories or guesses.

It also helps if you provide all details in your posts instead of assuming that everyone will be able to follow what you've posted.

According to tree I found online (which may or may not be yours)-
Anthony Todd born 28 Oct.1885 Cumberland, died 14 Dec.1946 Middlesex
married 30 Mar.1918 Whitehaven to Sarah Jane Abernethy

In 1891 he's in household of grandmother Bridget Todd and 1901 a servant (age 14) in St. Bees.

Yes thank you, I have that information, I am trying to find out if Ethel Teasdale was born in UK or South Africa, I have found Baptism Certificates for Minnie and Amy, but nothing about Ethel.

You may have 'that information' but not everyone else knows what you are posting about. For example, you mention a son Anthony 'that was left in UK' without saying he was born 1885 before mother married, etc. There are also other conflicting or slightly 'fuzzy' details you've posted which can cause confusion and/or make it more difficult for us to help you.

Not all records are online so it may be that you will have to explore other resources to find out about Ethel. However, indexes to births, marriages & deaths in England & Wales are online so if Ethel doesn't seem to be listed there (and remember that she might be registered without any christian names) then South Africa is likely the place you'l need to concentrate searches on.

Free BMD has good coverage for the period of Ethel's birth; Ancestry & Find My Past (pay sites) have a more complete coverage.
