How do you effectively search newspapers?
« on: Friday 24 June 16 15:13 BST (UK) »
Thanks to some members on this forum, I have managed to gather newspaper articles on my family. I wanted to ask globally: how do you effectively search and access newspaper articles without paid subscriptions like ancestry and such?

Gives us a clue, where did you have in mind  ???  What is available varies place to place.

With a UK library ticket you can often search the county library site from home.  I have access to The Times and British Library Newspapers.  :)

I am preferably looking for news in the South Wales regions.

Also, where can I obtain a library ticket?

You should be able to get a library ticket from your local library.

I think there are some Welsh papers elsewhere online, Sorry I will have to leave that with someone else to give you the information

If you are searching before 1919, there is the Welsh Newspapers on-line Site:

http://newspapers.library.wales/

It is free to search, and seems to have more Welsh Newspapers than some of the Newspaper Subscription Sites.
