Children of Edward SHAW and Ann SHERWOOD
« on: Sunday 26 June 16 05:29 BST (UK) »

Good Afternoon

I am searching for children of Edward and Ann SHAW nee SHERWOOD who married Tewkesbury 1784.

To date I have Ann born about 1785 in Tewkesbury I assume, Levi born 1789 in Tewkesbury and Benjamin born 1799 Southwark Surrey. Levi and Benjamin were registered Non Conformist in St John Southwark Surrey in 1801. Edward and Ann were described as Dissenters.

With thanks
Karenlee

If you Google

Tewkesbury Banns or
Deerhurst, Forthampton & Eldersfield

(tried to do the link i.e freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.ancestry.com)

This will take you to many Gloucestershire records including TEWKESBURY  - baptisms/marriages/burials

Under the Banns

1783

Banns of Marriage between Edward SHAW of this Parish and Ann SHERWOOD of the same were published 23, 30 Nov and & Dec

Under Marriages  (1784 marriages are split )

1784  (14 June)

Edward SHAW of this Parish & Ann (X) SHERWOOD of the same were married in this Church by banns in the presence of Samuel DAVIS & Ann BLANCH

--

Although there are a few witnesses/marriages/baptisms  SHAW's listed including a Benjm SHAW  - there doesn't appear to be any children of Edward & Ann SHAW baptised
