There is a death for a Henry Stringer on FreeBMD Sept qtr 1847 vol 18 page 189. Dudley, Worcs.
Also on the 1841 census Henry Stringer and Sophia both ages 46- on 1851 Sophia widow with daughter Sarah aged 15 years. Don't know if this helps or if it is the same Sophia in 1841 and 1851 as there is no mention of a daughter on the former, but may be of some help!

Hi

Can only see the one marriage that is in Worcestershire.

The marriage in 1811 is in Old Swinford which is around 7 miles from Chaddersley Corbett, but that means they would have been awfully young. But there are baptisms of children on FS in Dudley, Worcs. from 1812

MARRIAGE:

Henry Stringer and Sophia HAMPTON 15 Apr 1811 Old Swinford

CHILDDREN bapt. St Thomas Dudley

Mary bpt. 6 December 1812
Maria bpt. 17 July 1814
Elizabeth bpt. 28 April 1816

Thank you Claire and Paco for your replies. I did wonder about the marriage of Henry Stringer and Sophia Hampton but Henry would have been about 14yrs of age  and Sophia 15yrs of age. I wonder if someone could trace this marriage to see if parents consent was given.
I do not think that Henry's baptism was delayed by several years as he was baptised the same day as his brother Joseph 17th December 1787 (twins perhaps). The child Mary before being baptised 28th November 1784 so not such a big gap.
Many thanks, Syljun

Are you sure about Henry's birth, there are 2 Henry Stringer born in Stourport 1784 and 1788. As the Stringer's from Stourport area feature in my tree I do have quite a lot of info on them.
I visit the record centre most weeks and can check original marraige record for you if no-one else has already done so.

He is age 59 on the GRO, so born around 1788 if accurate.

This is from 2016, but :
'Can anyone find Henry Stringer b. 1797 Chaddesley Corbett on any Census and if and who he married please. '

and
'I do not think that Henry's baptism was delayed by several years as he was baptised the same day as his brother Joseph 17th December 1787 (twins perhaps). '

So not 14 but 24 at marriage, surely?

1787 or 1797??
