I am trying to trace some info regarding an Irish grandmother. Really finding it difficult so far.
What are the best resourses to try?

The answer to your question depends on when and where your grandfather was born and died-
1864-1958 in Republic of Ireland or 1864-1921 in Northern Ireland?

Before 1864 (the start of registration for births and deaths) you'll need to start searching for church records so you'll need his religion and a location. Many Irish catholic Parish records online free-
