1911   CASSIDY   MARY   F   16   GOVAN   GLASGOW CITY/LANARK   646/02 039/00

I think this is Mary. In 1911 she lives with Patrick age 50,Ann,Robert,Patrick ,Mary,Susan age 11. Also occupation matches Patrick Labourer and from Ireland.

Is this them?

That seems to be the correct one.

Likely George may be married by then & he also has a less common name  ???

Can you tell us who was the informant on Ann's death please?

Deaths for a Patrick Cassidy 1911 - 1923 (all records) which would include Lanark & Fife shows 2 pages.

I am thinking this could be him oh but just realised you posted. I will have a look.

1922   CASSIDY   PATRICK           M   62   GARNGADHILL   GLASGOW CITY/LANARK   644/05 0037

The above is not him.
Thanks so much Annie for all the help.

When you look at the death indexes you can eliminate some with the area registration no.

If Patrick died in Fife it is likely to have the same area reg. no. as Ann's & you can check against other docs. for reference no.'s for Lanark bold below.

1911   CASSIDY   MARY   F   16   GOVAN   GLASGOW CITY/LANARK   646/02 039/00

Annie, thanks for that tip :). I believe this could be Patrick. However the problem i have is that on the census in1911 it says that he is 50 and on his death cert he is 40? I couldn't find him in Fife. His informant is Son Robert Cassidy. Also wife and occupation match. Parents are Francis Cassidy and Catherine Dossey.

1911 census below.

Thanks,
Francesca

What is the area & yr of death for Patrick?

Sometimes there are silly errors where people are unsure of their parent's age which is common.

Robert is also a less common name i.e. likely to be the correct one as George is probably elsewhere.

Annie

ADDED......He also has a son Francis, same as his father's name which is another pointer.
