Hi Diddy,

I think the proof that William Miller christened in Iken on 23 Mar 1731 was the son of William Miller & Mary Plumly can be found rather unusually in his burial record.

Burial in Iken, Suffolk on 18 January 1802.
William Miller aged 69 years, son of William Miller & Mary (late Plumley) his wife.

From memory (as I can't find my original notes) the baptism only mentions the child and dather's name.

The only other possible children I could find in the parish records were
William Miller, christened 21 July 1723, buried 20 Dec 1729
Mary Miller, buried 15 Sep 1727
These would seem to be the only Miller family in the parish at that time.
