Hi can anyone tell me If I can search voters list 2012-2014 on ancestry.

You didn't mention in which country you wanted to search?

FindMyPast has UK Electoral Registers, 2002-2014.
I know I'm not there ( as I was either in the Netherlands or Isle of Man!), but my brother comes up in the wrong town and county?! He comes up under the County of Avon, which was abolished in 1996?!

So, just be careful of stating a town or county ;D

 The 2001 electoral register is the last full roll available before legislation came into effect on 16th November 2001 which stopped local authorities selling the full Electoral Roll to commercial companies. The edited version is available to any company for any purpose but excludes those people who opt-out of having their information sold to third parties. It is only the edited version that is available after 2001, so if they opted out they will not be listed.

Anonymous   registration  it could be described as.

People in sensitive occupations  may choose not to be listed  with their name and address visible.

   Commercial organisations  have to BUY  the register.

I did not imply they were given it for free, I thought it was obvious they would be sold it by the local  authority.
