Sorry not much to go on other than he was a bombardier on a B-17,shot down in France.I think he may have come from Oklahoma.

The B17 ( serial number 44-6589) crashed in the Netherlands.  There's a bit more information in the "Verliesregister 1945" downloadable from the Dutch military archives  https://www.defensie.nl/downloads/brochures/2008/04/08/verliesregister-1945

See page 9. Crashed at "Lith-Oss". 96th Bomb Group, 337 Bombardment Squadron, pilot 2 Lt E E Dasso.

According to FindaGrave he was buried in Tennessee so presumably the family shipped his remains back to the US.

   I don't think they did that during WW2, did they?
