The James who was awarded the MM and died 1944 was the son of James Kerr (Woollen Mill labourer) and Jane MS Stirling.

The James who was awarded the MM and died 1944 was the son of James Kerr (Woollen Mill labourer) and Jane MS Stirling.

James Kerr (woolen Mill worker) and Jane Stirling are my Great Grand Parents, Jane died and James remarried a Lady called Ruth Helena Strickland and had a further son John with her.

James Kerr -- there is one of us in every generation from James Kerr Kirkbean 1771 to the present day.
