William Jackson Cumbria
« on: Friday 22 July 16 18:38 BST (UK) »
Hi,

Trying to trace my late Grandfather William Jackson. Born 1889 ish and died 1953ish. He lived at High House Farm rottington Cumbria until he went bankrupt in 1950 ish. He then moved to Senhouse street, whiteheaven. He is buried at st Bridget's church Moresby. I know he had a son also called William Jackson and possibly a daughter. Not much to go on I'm afraid!!

As it's such a common name you are going to need more specific info.
Have you got William Jnr's birth cert. ?
This will give mother's maiden name, you can then look for the marriage which will give William Snr's father's name.
I'm guessing he was born in Cumberland as he doesn't seemed to have moved very far.
There are 2 or 3 that might be him all born around the area he lived.
Although he died in Whitehaven he was buried in Moresby so there may be others of his family there also.

There was a William JACKSON at 19 Senhouse St, Whitehaven in 1954 directory.

160 Queen St (same directory) was Edward FYE.
Today I broke my personal record for most consecutive days alive.
