Im seeking information on my uncle Bernard Flood he faught in the first world war. He married Marcella Cunningham.  Just if there is an army record for him.

unfortunately no service record exists for Bernard there are 7 Bernard floods for ww1 in medal index cards and 2 in deaths in ww1 , found the marriage record for him marsella Cunningham and 1911 irish cen shes down as marceilla with Bernard and 2 children .

Assuming for the moment he enlisted pretty early on which his age might indicate & in an Irish Regt. I found 2, 1 in the RDF  who died WW1 & the other in the 6th. RIR no. 6/7458, enlisted 19/9/14, discharged due to wounds 7/1918.
He received the 15 Star, BW & V Medals.
Does any of this sound familiar ?

I was exchanging some other info. with carthy2015 via PM regarding another topic and Bernard's name was mentioned to me so I took a look and like you didn't find anything

I have just found the following on FindMyPast records for BF born 1885 his record followed on
from BF born 1868

No. 2339, 6th Battalion Royal Irish Rifles Regiment

Bernard Flood born c 1885 record shows father named as Bernard Flood
No. 3410 Royal Irish Rifles

2339 would have had an attestation date of 1888/9 so is this the Father's no. ?
There's wasn't a 6th Batt. at that time.

3410 appears to have an attestation date of 1892.
