Looking for information regarding Sladen family who lived in Derbyshire on the 1800s,names of Charles and Charnell Sladen.I think they were in the Derby and Wirksworth area.

Is this them on the 1851 Census Macklin St, St Werburghs, Derby?

Charles Sladen born 1814, upholsterer
Mary b. 1818
Charnell b.1837, upholstere
Alfred b.1842
Herbert b.1844
Emma b.1846
Mary b.1851

All born St Werburghs, Derby

I think that could be them sgf28 . My Grandfather and Great Uncle were Upholsterers.It could be a family occupation.Thank you.

so ancestry has a mistranscription in 1841 census but image is Sladin with an i.

Al significant dates for this Sladen family are to be found in the Parish records of St. Werbergh Derby..as follows:-

CHARLES SLADEN..baptised 21.07.1813 son of Thomas and mary
married MARY ROBERTS 28.10.1838..(Mary's father was Samuel Roberts

They had the following children:- baptised dates
CHARNELL 03.07.1836..born 04.06.1835 (married Emma Frith 28.11.1858)
ALFRED 19.09.1841
HARRIET 28.10.1855
FRANCES 30.05.1852 born 29.01.1852
EMMA 30.05.1852..born 27.09.1848
Charles 13.10.1839..born 02.09.1839..died 03.03.1841..

and much more............
