Grandfather
« on: Friday 29 July 16 19:20 BST (UK) »
Trying to trace a Robert Bennett McIntyre born around 1840 Don't know where but his Daughter
married my Grandfather in 1917 in Belfast.I have tried Irish census but no luck. On their marrage
certificate it said he worked as a  Taylor. Mary (Minnie) McIntyre was 40 when she got married.
Can anybody help me trace my Grandfather ?

Hi Hardsocks

How do you know Robert Bennett McIntyre was born about 1840?  Is that supposition based on the age of Minnie?

You have the marriage cert of Minnie - does it say whether he was deceased or not?

Sorry to sound off but this kind of post actually dissuades people.

You have so many posts on the same subject......could you not just continue on one of your threads (which you haven't replied to) & post links to the rest  ???

People will be searching for info. you already have which is very time consuming & not very gratifying.

It is unnecessary duplication of effort for people (including myself)!!!  ::)

I can understand having 2 enquiries on different boards with links to each but 4 with no links until the Mod posted them  ???
