I've confused myself - I apologise

Hi!

Sorry, this might be a stupidly obvious question, but can you direct message someone on here?
After coming to a standstill I just googled my relatives names and the area I was looking at and found this site. I joined up, hoping to message the gentleman in question but I can't for the life see a way to do that.

Also, can we edit our profiles because I have no idea why mine is saying 'Census information Crown Copyright, from www.nationalarchives.gov.uk' on the 'personal text' part.

One of the site rules is

"New members must make at least three postings before being allowed to use the PM facility."

That might be the obstacle preventing you from yet sending a PM

That's because - census data is Crown Copyright!! ;D

I think I jumped the gun a bit, which I've also done in my research. Which might explain why I am so lost now aha! Hopefully this website can help me out :)
