Hello. I'm Richard Raw, and I'm new here. I'm from Scotland but my parents are both County Durham. The person I'm looking for is my great-gran, who was born Lily Ada Robson and married Thomas Albert Fletcher. I have her marriage, my gran's birth certificate and the 1911 census, but I can't for the life of me find her death, burial, birth, baptism. I know that she died young. This would have been around 1915 with a few years either side. My gran was born in Frosterley. I'd also like to trace Thomas Albert Fletcher, as he disappeared after my gran married. My gran was brought up by a lady she called 'auntie', but I have no name for her.
I'm also looking for the parents of my great nana, Margaret Atkinson (nee Clark/Clarke) who lived in Evenwood all her life. I've found my Nana's grandparents' grave in Evenwood cemetery, (William and Esther Atkinson) but I was unable to find her parents' one. Her husband was Robert and he was a Methodist. Possibly a preacher. There's a family story that the Clarks/Clarkes were related to Captain Cook, who I know had no descendants, but are said to be related somehow, presumably through his parents.
Many thanks for any help.
