My grandfather was Joseph Edward  Koscevic (1921-2004) and rumor has it he didn't speak to his father and some say his name was Frank but I found records indicating it was Anthony(1882-1957) and his father was Peter .  They are from Yugoslavia and I would really like to get more info!! I have been looking and can't seem to get anywhere. Any help would be Greatly appreciated!!

Sorry about that, my grandfather was in New Castle, Pennsylvania and as far as I know so was Anthony. Not sure about anyone else. I do know my Grandmother was Marion Fair, my great grandmother was supposedly Katherine Klicek also of New Castle.

You can find the family living in New Castle, PA on at least 3 census: 1920 (as Kascenci), 1930 (as Kascevic) and 1940 (as Kascevie).

Anthony bc.1880 (Austria or Yugoslavia - said to have arrived in US 1906)
Katherine bc.1884          ditto               - said to have arrived in US 1912)
Anna bc.1916 (born Austria per 1920, but PA in 1930  and 1940)
Mike bc.1920
Joseph b.1921.

Anthony did indeed arrive in 1906 - his name has been transcribed on Ancestry as:

Antun Koscevic  aged 26 arrived 18/10/1906 on the ship 'Chemnitz' - nationality entered as Slovenian but looking at actual form says he was from Croatia (Yugoslavia) and born in Plascica.  States he was going to a friend (whose name I can't decipher) living in New Castle, PA.

A WW2 Draft Registration card is in name of Anthony Koscevic - states born 5/5/1880 in Nova Plascicas, Yugoslavia - he signed the card as 'Anton' rather than Anthony.

His death certificate states born 5/5/1882 Belgrade - wife Katherine Klicek - his father Peter Koscevic and mother Katherine (her surname not known by informant).

Both his arrival in 1906 and WW2 registration card give birth year as 1880 and both state birthplace as Plascica (or Plascicas).

« Reply #7 on: Sunday 28 August 16 22:47 BST (UK) »
I posted one question already and got so much help. I am new to all of this and have gotten pretty far on my Mother's side and can't get anywhere on my Father's side. There was false information on who my Grandparents were and this site did help confirm that. I am looking for my Koscevic relations, my grandfather was Joseph Edward 1921 -2004. his father was Anthony J 1882 -1957 married to Katherine Klicek 1884-1959 , no info on her parents either..whom I also cannot find Anything further on. I did find out  the father to Anthony was Peter but cannot find anything more....I did go to the library and found out Anthony had a sister Eva in Yugoslavia but no more info. How can  I fin her? I have spent hours looking maybe I am jut not looking in right place.
I did find Anthony and Katherine's grave's which was absolutely Amazing!! Thanks to those that posted on my last post and helped me!! They are from Yugoslovia I know that much. Thanks in advance if anyone can help me!! I just wanna find something so I can get this tree popping !!
