I have ancestors in Bank St Crewe (no. 19) in 1911. I've lived in Crewe and still have family there, but we don't know of Bank St - can anyone tell me where it was, as it doesn't seem to be in existence any more. Thank you

Welcome to RootsChat
You can see Bank Street on the 1958-1960 map at
https://www.old-maps.co.uk/#/Map/370761/355101/13/101329
you will have to change the zoom level.
This is the area today

Hi Stan - thanks for the link. I'm having trouble finding it, can you give me a clue to whereabouts to look, please?

If you keep zooming out of the map at
https://www.old-maps.co.uk/#/Map/370761/355101/13/101329
you will eventually get the modern street map.

Didn't know the maps worked like that, thank you. I've found where my people used to live, and it's only a 13 min walk from where I used to live, and my parents still do!
