When you say it isn't there do you mean it's not in their index or you have the index details but there is no cert, which would be very odd.
If you are sure the birth was registered and have the detail to order it the GRO in Roscommon should have it as it's pre 1922.

Any possibility that the surname has been mistranscribed?  It only takes the alteration of one letter for the search to come up with a blank.

I have two or three whereby the surname has been misread and therefore recorded on the index incorrectly.

Have you contacted the registry office that covers the area in which the birth took place?

It wouldn't be, the GRONI website only allows you to find birth records which are over 100 years old.

Not sure what gaffy knows that's not posted here but it's difficult to help without knowing the details of what you are looking for.

I know no more than what has been posted, the topic subject mentions a 1919 birth certificate and GRONI online will not return a hit for such a birth as it is under 100 years old.

Thanks, gaffy, I missed the date in the title. (I blame eye medicine which is causing blurred vision for a while)

Hi Girl Guide,

It's Clara Jane Martin born 19/07/1919 Swatragh, Derry, Northern Ireland born to Clara Jane Martin and Robert Martin. The mothers maiden name was Turner.

We need the birth certificate to get a passport. As its not 2019, it wont be online, I am not sure on who to contact to order it. ??? ;D ;D
