Coal Mining Database

Anyone know what's happened to the coal mining database that was on www.cmhrc.co.uk

It used to be one of my go-to sites for all sorts of info.  I haven't needed to use it for a while & now I can't find it.

I know Raleys Solicitors hosted it a while back, but it looks like they are in administration.  I really hope this data has survived somewhere.  Anyone know?

there used to be a database listing people killed or seriously injured in mining accidents, searchable by person or colliery.  I think it was part of the coal mining database originally set up by Ian Winstanley but the names/details seem to have been removed when it got transferred from its original host.

I'm looking at the Durham database http://www.dmm.org.uk  but I don't think its the same one I remember.  I'm interested in Lancashire mines (Wigan/Leigh) at the moment.

IF  Wigan Council  have a records and archives office  with web site  it could well  be on there,   but I am only taking an educated  guess.

If you cannot find it online,   then you may find that  Wigan Archives  have it deposited with them.

It may be available as a book.

I think the one that you need was on a blueyonder site - got info about a few of my ancestors deaths from there. Can't find it at the moment -will have a more detailed look.  I'm sure there are links to it on Rootschat cos a few of us used it.

cmhrc was a great site, what a shame

Just looked on the new Ancestry one for a relative who was on the original cmhrc site. The record is not there now on Ancestry
