Peter Whitborn married Elizabeth Southcott 12 August 1766 West Teignmouth Devon.
*John Whitborn son of Peter and Elizabeth baptized 28 August 1770 West Teignmouth.

Peter and Elizabeth had children at West Teignmouth
Susanna bap 14 September 1767
*John  bap 28 August 1770 (who marries Grace Delve)
Rose bap 6 October 1774
Charlotte  bap 31 January 1776
Michael   bap 22 February 1780
Mary Lyon  bap 7 November 1782.

Peter Whitborn is the son of John and Rose Whitborn nee Thorning married 1 January 1716 West Teignmouth
Also from Will of John Whitborn 1757 and probate of Rose Whitborn 1780
Children -West Teignmouth
John  bap 21 January 1717 transcription is this new style or old poss 1717/18, deceased by his fathers death 1757.
Mary  bap 28 December 1719
*Peter bap 20 October 1728  (who married Elizabeth Southcott)
Rose  bap 26 March 1732

Will of John Whitborn (on ancestry)1757--he was a mariner
son Peter, dau. Mary, dau. Rose and dear wife Rose.

Probate of Rose 15 June 1780
son Peter Whitborn, dau. Mary Lyon widow (she married Andrew Lyon 15 December 1757) and dau. Rose Rennell wife of Rev. Thomas Rennell (they married 23 September 1760) on familysearch as Thomas Rennell Clerk, but Clerk is his occupation, Clerk in Holy Orders.

So Peter gives his daughter Mary the middle name of Lyon for his sister Mary Lyon.

Working on it.
It's got something to do with Thomas Whitbourne of Buckland Monachorum he names a son Edward Kinsman Whitbourne in 18 December 1769.

Need to see how Thomas is related.

Thomas WHIDBOURNE married Mary KINSMAN 30 Dec 1763 Buckland Monachorum.

Possibly one of their sons will be Elizabeths father.

Catherine bapt. 7 October 1765 buried 21 July 1766

Mary bapt. 11 June 1764
