Todays Guardian has an interesting article about a detective novelist Clifton Robbins who was born c1890 and who published around nine novels. Attempts are being made to trace his family regarding republication. Any trace?

Probate to Edmund Crosby Robbins and Jeanette Marion Wensley.

There is a birth of a Jeanette M Robbins q3 1917, Lambeth. Mother's surname Hodgson.

Clifton Robbins married Edith A Hodgson q3 1915, Lambeth.

The trouble with this type of hunt is that readers have access to the same databases and sources as we have and have most probably already located a relative, however distant.

In her engagement notice in The Times, Jeanette is described as "the only child of Mr & Mrs Clifton Robbins, of Dulwich"
