Finding a Randoll

I am trying to trace a Margaret Randoll born 1st September 1937, on her birth certificate only her mother Dorothy May Evelyn Chambers is listed. No father is given. She was born in Strood Kent.
There is no trace of her after this.

If she was born in the 1930s she might still be living and we aren't allowed to post details of anyone who might be living.
Have you tried Family Search, Find My Past, Ancestry or other databases to see if she left England, etc.?
Away sorting out DNA matches... I may be gone for

Did Dorothy later remarry (perhaps to a Mr Cornhill?) and if so have you looked for Margaret under the new surname?

No I hadn't thought of that as I assumed she would have been too old to have wanted to change her name but yes it is possible as her mother remarry in 1950.
Also her mother Dorothy May Evelyn chambers was supposed to have married an James Lawrence Alderson on 25th August 1934 but I cannot find that either!

Hi if Dorothy did indeed marry an Alderson, she appears to marry again as Dorothy M E Alderson to William G Cornhill June qtr 1950 Chatham 5b 681
I have my doubts that Dorothy ever married an Alderson, possibly took his name?
EDIT sorry see you have the Cornhill marriage as she remarried 1950

There's a death on 1 June 1940 of a Marine James Lawrence Alderson, aged 31, of Strood, Rochester noted on the Chatham naval memorial. He is noted as husband of P Alderson
