Look Up Please - Thomas Bennett Born Circa 1804 Hargrave
« on: Saturday 27 August 16 21:11 BST (UK) »
Hi Guys,

I'm struggling to find the parents of Thomas Bennett born 1804 Hargrave.  ???

According to the 1851 Census records Thomas's father Robert aged 77 and a widower was living with his son in Wickhambrook.  The 1841 Census lists a possible Robert Bennett age 70 living in Hargarve but I can't find his son Thomas.

I have penciled in the Robert Bennett born 1775 Rushbrooke, son of James & Harriot as possibly "my Robert" but cannot find his marriage or the birth/baptism of his son Thomas.

Any help very much appreciated

Eve

Brilliant - Thank you so much Suffolk*Sue  :).

With not knowing the area I've just been looking at where Great Ashfield and Bury St Edmunds is in relation to Rushbrooke which is where Robert states in the 1851 census he was born, all quite close.

As you have found he was a widower at the time of his marriage to Margaret Franklin would it be possible to identify his first marriage or indeed confirm Robert Bennett Baptised 9th April 1775 son of James & Harriot Hart is the correct Robert?

Kind Regards Eve x

Great Ashfield and Bury St Edmunds is in relation to Rushbrooke

Rushbrooke is an adjacent parish to the south east of Bury and Great Ashfield is further away, slightly to the north and to the east of Bury.
